Big man had to go see the vet

My big man cat, Pierre’, had to make another trip to the vet for his digestive\stomach issues this morning. He had been doing quite well, but in the past week or so we could tell he was not feeling well. He’s our oldest baby, 15, and he’s the alpha animal around here. He weighs 11 pounds and our three big dogs know he’s the boss. I just don’t like seeing my big man not feeling well.

Our vet, Dr. Wilcox, gave him a shot and a pretty good exam. He’s doing fine other than the digestive issues. She said he looked well and his weight was good. He was pretty happy to see the vet which is not usually the case. He got out of his cat carrier by himself and walked around the exam room for a bit before the doctor got there. So that was better than he normally does.

I got him back home and his brothers and sisters were glad to see him back. They all came to check him out. He was not impressed by the homecoming. He did not hiss or anything. He went to his favorite napping spot and laid down. He is still resting right now and no one has even gone close to him. I am sure he will rest until almost dinner time and then get up and be hungry. I have some good food for him.

I can’t stand to see big man down and not feeling well. We’ve had him for so long and in his prime he was big and bad. Pierre’s slowed down just a bit but he’s still the big man and alpha animal around here. I need him to stay that way for a long, long time.
