President Obama in Venice, LA.
President Obama in Venice, LA.

Where's the media now??

George Bush is glad for one thing right now. He’s glad he is not president anymore. Can you imagine the uproar from the media and the left on how he, and I am sure Ken Lay along with Dick Cheney, Tom Delay and Rush Limbaugh, caused this oil spill. And not only would they have caused it they would have made it worse by not responding quick enough or correctly enough to stem the tide. The Sierra Club, Greenpeace and the entire gamut of environmental groups would have had a collective fainting spell! Yet, with Barack Obama as our leader …………

Well, things are just fine. There has been no outcry at our government. As a matter of fact the President went down to Venice, Louisiana yesterday and in my opinion was given a free pass on the matter. No one really got on him, like they would have done George Bush, while he visited.

It really does not matter though. The tragedy is on. It’s happening right now whether the media wants to let our government have a free pass or not. The oil is spilling out of the floor in the
Gulf of Mexico at an alarming rate and George Bush is not President. The media does not have a scapegoat like they had for eight years. But the tragedy is still occurring. I was just wondering where the media that faulted our government every time something went wrong when George Bush was President is right now!! If you see them give me a holler. I want to talk with the collective group!!!

Ford and George Bush probably got a very rough deal. May be the media do it. It is nice to see some one write about it

Well, most president's get what they deserve, but our media is just not going to criticize President Obama. Thanks for the read and comment.

Excellent point, but they are trying! I saw several excerpts where Halliburton (Cheneys old co) was blasted for pooring the cement on this job! they are trying soooo hard to squeeze something out of this for Bush! I want to know why our head of the EPA (environmental protection agency) didn't even make a comment for 9 days! instead spending the first 9 days making speeches and accepting awards from tree hugging wackos! lets get on her!

Great comment American Romance. Look, I don't think Bush, Cheney and gang always did well. But if the media is going to take them to task why not Obama and his bunch? We all know why!! The response to this oil spill has not been very good by anyone. It's a big tragedy but Obama will get a pass. Can you imagine the uproar if a Republican was president right now?
