Happy Thanksgiving and really be thankful

Today is Thanksgiving Day and we all know the stories of the Pilgrims, Indians and the first Thanksgiving. I think the most important thing for today is just to remember to be thankful for something. I think we all have plenty to be thankful for in our lives. It’s important to remember that on this day.

I also think we should think about those less fortunate than us during the entire holiday season we are entering. With our economic woes many people are needed help in some way. Even people who had gone well for years have been impacted in a big way by this economy. There is always something we can do to help out. Yes, we can give money and items but the gift of our time is very important also. We all need to do what we can.

This is just my small reminder about it all. I know everyone who reads this will understand what I am saying. Let’s just do what we can for everyone else and be thankful for the many great things we have in our lives. Now, go forth and enjoy your turkey and all the trimmings.
