Vet had to check out big man

Had to get big man checked out again!!

My big man cat, Pierre’, one of our tuxedo cats and the alpha animal in our house had to go back to the vet this morning. He has been having some digestive problems and he needed to go back in for a look see. He is not in bad shape, but I can tell he is not feeling well.

Our vets are very good. Doctor Wilcox generally looks at Pierre’. She really loves all her babies and takes very good care of all of them. We love her and her partner, Dr. Harrison, very much. And they do a great job for all of our animals.

Big man is fine. She gave him shot. He needed that for his digestive tract and then she gave me some good food for him. We have given him some better food last time he had this malady, but we kind of fell off the wagon. He needs the good food and we’ll just have to make sure he eats it all the time. We did him wrong by not keeping him on his good food. I feel bad for that. Also, his weight stayed the same as last time so that is a good thing also.

Pierre’ does not like to go to the vet. They all love him at the office, but he just does not seem to want to go and see them. In the end though he always comes out just fine.

I brought him home and all his brothers and sisters were happy to see him. He just hissed at all of them and made a few rounds around his domain. He jumped up on our bed and is now resting. I will leave him alone for a bit as I am sure all of his brothers and sisters will also. We’ll feed him some good new food for lunch and see how he likes it. I am sure he will rest all afternoon.

I have to take care of the boy. He’s almost 14 years old and I want to keep him for as long as I can. So we will make sure he gets good health care.

I recently lost one of my mastiffs, Diva, to bone cancer. Hard, very hard. These creatures become so much a part of our family and lives, and often others don't understand our loss. I thought if one more person says "she was just a dog' I'd go postal.

My big man is still having problems but he's doing better. I just can't stand to think of losing him. But it will happen one day. I think if we can get him straight he'll be fine for a few more years. I just love all my babies so much. I cry so much when we lose one. I know the feeling. Our animals become a big part of our lives. They are not "just a dog" or "just a cat". They are our babies!! Thanks again for the read and comment.
