Some general thoughts on things

16,286!! That is not really a good number. That is the number of words I wrote all of last month. That’s not a lot. At least for me that is not a lot. I generally write about 1000 words per day or maybe just a little more. For some reason I did not do quite as well last month. I was just lazy for the most part. A lot of the time I did not have much of a desire to write. I will have to fix that this month. I will sit down and write. I will write a lot more. That is a promise to myself.

May 1 is always May Day. Generally, in countries such as Russia and China they use this day to showcase their military might. We don’t do that here in the USA. I think in LeCoqland though we are going to do so this May Day. We are going to gear up and have a May Day parade down the middle of the biggest street in our area, DeZavala Road. My babies and I are going to showcase LeCoqland’s great power and might!! We will have a military parade. Of course, my babies are my animals. I do want to say this. The last time we even let my baby cat Sophie move the mobile rocket launcher a small village in Afghanistan got obliterate. The last thing we heard her asking was, “What is this button for?”!! LOL Today we might just let her carry the flag or something along those lines.

There is a big oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. BP was drilling a well and it blew up. The rig was located about 40 miles southeast of the mouth of the Mississippi River. The oil slick was about 70 miles by 130 miles on Thursday. The oil was just reaching the Louisiana coast. Many birds and other little animals will be affected by this tragedy. The company has not been able to get the well capped. This means a relief well will have to be drilled to take the pressure off this well. That could take as long as three months. By time this well is capped it may be the largest oil spill in America’s history eclipsing the Exxon Valdez tragedy. We will see what happens.

I will have to ramp up my writing.  Then I will begin a search for an agent, publisher or a combination of people such as that. I do feel I have some talent in the writing area and I will be able to get a few things going. At least I can get some irons in the fire.

My garden is doing OK. It is not doing as well as I thought it was going to be doing though. I had some snow peas but they some small green worms began to eat the leaves. I will just kind of abandon them and start to plant some green beans. The snow peas did not do as well as I thought they were going to do anyway. I do have some green beans on my plants already. My tomatoes are growing but they are not putting on any tomatoes. I have had flowers on the plants in the backyard, but no small tomatoes yet. On the side yard I have not had any flowers even. I think they needed more water than I was giving them. So I have done that. I have made sure that I gave them all some good drinks of water. I will see how that turns out. The tomato plants in my backyard look better already and it seems the flowers are not wanting to all off as easily.

It has been pretty warm but not quite as warm as it usually is. Our temps have been just a tad below normal for the past month. We had some rain but not a lot. I will print some numbers out from the National Weather Service when they are available. March was about 3̊ cooler than normal and we had more rain than normal. I will get the numbers from April in a few days. I think we have been cooler than normal for the first four months of the year. I hope that continues into the summer and our summer is cooler than normal. We sure don’t want another scorcher like we had last year. It was over 100̊ for over half the summer days. That was not good.

Great writing, glad you're back to normal, though it is getting harder to find the time to write, now the warmer weather is here.
